Click to website vs click to call - what is the difference?

As a part of campaign configuration of your campaign, you can set the following conversion actions on maps and prolist: click to website vs click to call.

So what is the difference between them?

The difference is in the name - one reads as a call action, and the other reads as a click-to-website action.

The biggest difference between ranking outcomes is that call actions CAN have an effect on your analytics through Google - so keep an eye on it!

How does this affect your analytics, and what are potential side effects?

When Google Analytics is performing it’s metrics on your call actions, it is reading every time a customer clicks on your ‘ad’, then clicks on the phone number tied to your website through Google.

This means that when you utilize our CTR platform, specifically the click-to-call aspect, your call ratio through Google Analytics will rise - Google cannot tell the difference between an authentic customer call and a CTR customer call.

This can, however, have adverse effects on your listings - for example, if you have too many calls to seem feasible for your business size otherwise, your rankings can drop and Google can suspend your listings until further internal investigation has been completed.
