📑 Quick Navigation

  1. Campaign Overview Card
  2. Visual Sparklines
  3. Date Range Selection
  4. Filtering & Search
  5. Enhanced Table View
  6. Tooltips & Help
  7. Keyword Management Actions

1. Campaign Overview Card 🎯

What it is: A new card at the top of your reports page showing your campaign's key information at a glance.

Features:

  • Campaign name with link to your Google Maps listing
  • Campaign start date
  • Total daily conversions breakdown: Maps views / Map pack clicks / Directions requests
  • Ranking Trend chart - multi-line sparkline showing performance for each category over the last 3 months

  •

Latest average rank with change vs. initial baseline

Key Details:

  • The Ranking Trend chart always shows the last 3 months (or full campaign history for newer campaigns)
  • This provides consistent campaign-level context regardless of the date range you select in the Keyword Performance table
  • Hover over any element or info icon to see detailed information

Categories shown:

  • Money/Primary (gold line) - Your most valuable revenue-driving keywords
  • Branded (green line) - Keywords containing your business name
  • Other (blue line) - Combines all keywords that aren't Money/Primary or Branded:
    • Longtail keywords (if you have them)
    • Any custom categories you've created

Note: Uncategorized keywords (not actively tracked) are excluded from this chart.

2. Keyword Sparklines (Visual Trend Indicators) 📈

What it is: Every keyword in your table now has a mini chart showing its ranking trend over time.

Features:

  • Line chart showing rank movement for the selected date range
  • Hover to see exact rank and date Visual at-a-glance understanding of keyword performance

How to read sparklines:

  • Every point of the sparkline displays the average rank for that keyword for the day
  • Important: Lower position on the chart = better rank (rank 1 is at the bottom)
  • Upward trend on the chart = improving ranks (getting closer to position 1)
  • Downward trend on the chart = declining ranks (moving away from position 1)
  • Flat line = stable ranking
  • Gaps = periods without ranking data

When you'll see "No data yet" in your sparkline:

If a keyword shows "No data yet" instead of a sparkline:

  • The keyword is very new (wait 24-48 hours for first searches)
  • The selected date range doesn't include any searches for this keyword
  • The keyword hasn't been found in results yet (check "Last found" column)

What to do:

  • Try selecting a longer date range (e.g., "Last 3 months")
  • Check the "Last found" column - if it says "Never," the keyword hasn't appeared in search results yet
  • Wait 1-2 days for more data to accumulate

3. Flexible Date Range Selection 📅

What it is: Choose any time period to view your ranking data.

Available ranges:

  • This month - Current month from the 1st to today
  • Previous month - Last complete calendar month
  • Last 30 days (default) - Rolling 30-day window
  • Last 3 months - Rolling 90-day window
  • Last 6 months - Rolling 180-day window
  • Custom range - Select any start and end date

💡 Pro Tip: Why some things change and others don't

Dynamic (changes with date range):

  • Sparklines show the trend for that period
  • "Searches" shows count in that period
  • "Avg rank" shows average during that period

Static (always current):

  • "Latest rank" always shows your most recent ranking
  • "Change" always compares to your starting baseline
  • "Last found" always shows the most recent date found

Why: This lets you analyze historical periods while still seeing where you are today.

Example: Set date range to "Last 3 months" to see quarterly trends, but Latest Rank still shows today's ranking.

4. Advanced Filtering & Search 🎛️

What it is: Powerful tools to focus on specific keywords and find insights quickly.

Category Tabs

Filter keywords by business value:

  • Filter keywords by their category:
  • All keywords - View everything
  • Money/Primary - Your most important revenue-driving keywords
  • Branded - Keywords containing your brand/business name
  • Longtail - Longer, more specific search phrases
Change Filter

Show keywords based on performance vs. initial baseline:

  • Show only keywords with specific performance:
  • Improved - Keywords with better ranks vs. initial baseline
  • Decreased - Keywords with worse ranks vs. initial baseline
  • No change - Keywords with stable rankings
  • No data - Not enough data yet (very new keywords or keywords were never found)

Change shows how your ranking has improved or declined compared to when the keyword was first tracked.

How it's calculated: Initial rank (start of campaign) - Latest rank (current)

Reading the values:

  • Positive number with ↑ (green) = Improved. Example: +15.3 means you moved 15 positions closer to rank 1
  • Negative number with ↓ (red) = Declined. Example: -8.2 means you moved 8 positions further from rank 1
  • 0 or near-zero = No significant change

Example: If you started at rank 36 and are now at rank 13, you'd see '↑ 23.0 (initial: 36.0)' - meaning you moved 23 positions closer to rank 1

Note: This always compares to your starting point (initial rank), not to the date range selected.

Rank Filter

Focus on keywords in specific ranking positions: Find your top performers (ranks 1-3); Identify "almost there" keywords (ranks 4-10); Find opportunities (below rank 20 but tracking).

The filter uses your 'Latest rank' column values to show keywords in specific rank ranges.

Latest Rank shows your most recent average ranking position for this keyword.

How it's calculated:

  • Average of the last 7 days of ranking data
  • Includes both rank tracking searches and conversion action data
  • Updates daily as new ranking data comes in

Important: Latest Rank is always current, regardless of which date range you select in the dropdown.

Search

Type any keyword or phrase to filter the table instantly. Search tips:

  • Case-insensitive
  • Partial match works (search "bathroom" finds "bathroom remodel")
  • Filters in real-time as you type
  • Combine with other filters for precision

5. Enhanced table view 📊

What changed: The keyword list is now a full-featured data table with sortable columns and comprehensive data display.

Table Columns:

  1. Keyword
  2. Date Range Period (3 sub-columns)
    1. Sparkline: Visual trend for selected date range
    2. Searches: Number of times we completed search actions (both rank tracking and conversion) for this keyword in that period
    3. Avg rank: Average rank over the selected period

  3. Keyword Category
    1. Money/Primary, Branded, or Longtail
    2. Color-coded badge for easy identification
  4. Latest Rank
    1. Your most recent average rank: the latest weekly average for the keyword based on the ranks gathered when keyword was found (both for search (rank tracking) and conversion actions).
  5. Change
    1. How much your rank has changed vs. your initial baseline (when campaign started)
    2. Green ↑ = improved (rank number went down - better!)
    3. Red ↓ = declined (rank number went up - worse)
    4. Shows initial rank in parentheses for context
    5. "Example: '↑ 15.3 (initial: 20.8)' means you improved from rank 21 to rank 6"
    6. Important: Change always compares to your starting baseline (initial rank), NOT to the previous day or week. This gives you consistent long-term progress tracking.
  6. Last Found
    1. The date when this keyword was last successfully found in search results.
    2. "Never" if keyword hasn't been found yet. Learn why keywords might not be found → here
    3. Helps identify keywords that might need attention
  7. Sorting

Click any column header to sort:

    • Keyword (alphabetical)
    • Keyword category
    • Searches (in selected period)
    • Avg rank
    • Latest rank
    • Change (vs initial)
    • Last found date

Click once for ascending order, twice for descending. Active sort shows an arrow icon.

6. Comprehensive Tooltips & Help ℹ️

What it is: Info icons (ℹ️) and hover tooltips throughout the interface explaining every metric. Where you'll find them:

  • Every column header in the table
  • Campaign overview card metrics
  • Sparklines and trend indicators
  • Filter options and categories
  • Date range presets

Hover over any field or value to get the details of the metric.

7. Keyword Management Actions 🔧

What it is: Manage keywords without leaving the Reports page

What you can do:
- Remove keywords permanently
- Archive keywords (stops tracking, preserves historical data)

How to use: Click the "..." menu next to any keyword → Select "Remove" or "Archive"

Note: Archived keywords appear in the "Uncategorized" tab with their historical data preserved.
