What is A/B testing?

A/B testing is a method google uses to determine if the traffic your site is getting is authentic or not. It involves ranking a keyword low (A) (1-3) then immediately ranking it high (B) (15+) and seeing what rank gets clicked.  Since clicking a high rank is a lot less likely than clicking a low rank google can then make a determination as to how authentic the traffic for that listing is.
