Why is keyword rank not showing data?

When you create a new campaign or add new keywords to a campaign, our platform needs to perform multiple searches to gather accurate ranking data. If you're not seeing data for your keywords, here are the potential reasons and solutions:

  • "no data yet"

What this means: Your campaign is disabled, and we haven't performed any searches for your keywords yet. 

Solution: Enable your campaign to initiate data collection. Once activated, we'll begin gathering search rank data and display it on your campaign dashboard.

  • "gathering data"

What this means: Your campaign is new or you've recently added keywords, and we're in the process of collecting data. 

Solution: Please allow 24-48 hours for our system to compile an average rank from multiple searches. Check back later for updated rankings.

  • "keyword not found"

What this means: We couldn't find your Google Business Profile (GBP) listing in search results for this keyword in the specified location. 

Solution: Verify that the keyword is relevant for this business. Consider checking the search area and adjusting the search radius for this keyword.

  • "keyword error"

What this means: The keyword contains unsupported characters or triggers Google Maps to show a spelling correction page. 

Solution: Review the keyword for:

Spelling errors
Special characters that may not be supported
Unusual formatting that could trigger errors

  • "target listing not found"

What this means: The search results are showing a different business listing than the one specified in your campaign. 

Solution: Double-check:

Your campaign settings
Your listing URL
Whether the keyword is specifically relevant to your GBP

Perform a manual search and check if the listing can be found with this keyword. 

It may be that another business has more relevance for the keyword you specified than the GBP mentioned in your campaign. You may need to adjust your strategy and build on more branded keywords for this keyword to gain more relevance.
